Terms & conditions
The terms for playing Overtorque and using its official website.
Using Overtorque
These terms apply to Overtorque and its official website, provided by The AECE Studio. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the game and website. If you are not old enough to enter an agreement where you live, a parent or guardian must review and agree to these terms for you.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Google Play's terms and any applicable platform rules also apply when you use those services.
Your licence to play
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Overtorque for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these terms and applicable law. The game, its branding, software, cars, circuits and other creative assets belong to The AECE Studio or its licensors. This licence does not transfer ownership to you.
You may share your own screenshots and recordings of the game, including in monetised videos, as long as you do not claim an affiliation with the studio or infringe anyone else's rights.
Online play and conduct
Online features are optional and may require signing in with Google Play Games. When you play online:
- Do not cheat, exploit bugs, tamper with the game or its network traffic, or use modified clients or automated play to gain an advantage or alter results, rankings or rewards.
- If your device hosts a race, do not interfere with the race or its results.
- Do not harass, threaten or impersonate other players, or use offensive, hateful or misleading display names.
- Do not try to identify, attack or disrupt other players' devices or connections, or our services.
We may review reports and race data, and may reset results, remove rewards gained unfairly, or suspend or end access to online features for breaking these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. Solo play on your device is not affected.
Purchases and virtual items
Optional purchases are sold through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms and refund policies. TorqueTokens are a virtual currency for cosmetic items and the season premium pass; they do not change how a car performs. A season pass applies to the season it was bought for. Credits, TorqueTokens, cars, upgrades, cosmetics, season rewards and other virtual items are a licence to use content in the game. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be sold or transferred except where the game allows it. Nothing in these terms affects the rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Progress, rewards and third-party services
Progress is stored on your device. If you sign in with Google Play Games, a copy is kept in your Google account as a cloud save that you can restore after reinstalling or on a new device. Progress made while not signed in, or not yet saved to the cloud, may be lost if app data is cleared, a device is lost or the game is reinstalled. Season levels can be reduced at the start of a new season as described in the game; items you have unlocked are kept.
Google Play Games and other platform services are operated by their providers, and their own terms govern availability, accounts and data controls. We cannot restore a deleted Google account or recover removed local saves. See our account deletion page for data removal options.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the game, its online features and this website running, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, compatibility with every device, or error-free operation. Online play depends on your connection and other players' devices. Features may be updated, changed or discontinued.
To the extent permitted by law, the game and website are provided as available, without additional warranties, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by their use. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or removes your mandatory consumer rights.
Updates and contact
We may revise these terms as the game changes or as the law requires. We will communicate material changes on this website or in the game where appropriate and update the effective date. If you do not accept revised terms, you can stop using the game.
